I think that your API description as is does not provide me with enough detail to really determine whether that is a achievable goal. One immediate comment while we are at it is that subscribe in both WS-E and WS-N is in some sense a factory operation and should definitely not be modeled in the same interface as operations on the entity a subscribe creates. Also, how do you intend to model parameters to a generic subscribe operation? I actually have a bunch of questions so I think a teleconference would be good. > Am i right, that you are expecting interface that work with > "org.apache.wsrf.impl.notification" from the globus source? It certainly clashes in a bunch of places, for example "SubscriptionStore" seems to more or less provide the same functionality as the ResourceHome for subscriptions in our APIs. > what you think about that? I think it is a worthwhile goal and we should work towards it, but I think your proposal still needs more thought. /Sam > stefan > > Samuel Meder wrote: > > >On Fri, 2005-01-07 at 14:41 +0100, Stefan Lischke wrote: > > > > > >>Hi all, > >> > >>i have discussed API things with Ian and after a first proposal, i'm > >>doing a second, i dunno whats the attachment policy is for this list, so > >>i put up the UML on: > >> > >>http://www.ivs.tu-berlin.de/Lischke/blog/archives/2005/01/apache_hermes_a.html > >> > >>hope to hear from you. > >> > >> > > > >I would like to arrange a teleconference to talk about these APIs > >sometime next week (as they are significantly different from ours which > >we want to use to implement WS-N).
