Not sure what is going on there. Can you please make sure you are pulling a clean copy from SVN and try again?
When I pull a clean copy from svn and run "maven dist" in the trunk directory, everything builds fine... If it still doesn't work, please send more details about your environment so we can attempt to figure out what is different....
