In past incarnations of this stuff we relied solely on JAXB and were not as impressed with it as we are with XmlBeans. Since it seemed as though, as you pointed out, XmlBeans would become JAXB compatible we figured we'd be killing 2 birds with 1 stone. As of today XmlBeans makes life much simpler than using JAXB and we rely on it for , I am assuming here, the same reasons JAX-RPC is incorporating JAXB into its specification....Let's face it, JAX-RPC would never have made use of XmlBeans..it had to be JAXB....
I suggest we ping the JAXB folks and get a vibe on whether or not they still plan to meet some sort of JAXB compliance....In the meantime, XmlBeans is integral to our infrastructure.... -----Original Message----- From: Davanum Srinivas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2005 8:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: XMLbeans 2.0 , JAXB 2.0, jaxme 2 JAX-RPC 2.0 , Axis 2.0 Stefan, You can use either one...i have no preference. for the record, we got JAXME into Apache before XMLBeans came in as we need JAXB support for JAX-RPC 2.0. a full JAX-RPC impl seems far away now. You should align hermes with what's happening in the related projects namely muse and apollo and whatever you guys want to use is fine. We can always rework later if necessary. thanks, -- dims On Wed, 02 Feb 2005 01:22:12 +0100, Stefan Lischke <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > hey guys, especially dims, > > i have switched my local of WS-Eventing impl to XMLbeans as we > discussed today.
