Database tables accomodate only 2-character language codes
----------------------------------------------------------
Key: JUDDI-60
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JUDDI-60
Project: jUDDI
Type: Bug
Versions: 0.9rc1, 0.9rc2, 0.9rc3
Reporter: Steve Viens
Assigned to: Steve Viens
Fix For: 0.9
Currently all of the database creation scripts supplied with jUDDI declare
language code values as a 2-character value which supports 2-character language
codes such as "en" but does not support country-code quaulified language codes
such as "en-US".
We need to expand the size of these fields to support 5-character language code
+ country code combinations described in ISO639[1] and ISO3166[2]. See the
IETF's "Best Practices for Tags for the Identification of Languages" [3] for
more information.
