Unrelated question, but I'm curious. Is Geronimo using an osgi-ized JPA provider library? I remember looking into that a few months ago but all I
could find were people using these osgi-enabled Hibernate super-jars.

I'm pretty sure openjpa 2 has bundleized everything, I'm not sure about openjpa 1. I don't know if this is enough to actually use jpa in an osgi environment; I know there's an incipient osgi jpa integration spec and some work in the aries incubator project related to this.

hope this helps.... asking on the openjpa dev list would probably get better info.

Subject: build improvements

Over the holidays I spent a little time fixing up the juddi build and
making it produce more osgi-friendly jars for use in geronimo 3.0, see
the patch attached to JUDDI-299. It would be great for geronimo if
someone could look at this and either comment or apply it.

I also started looking into making optional use of ee-style jpa with
injected EntityManagerFactory; I think I got the code converted but
ran into some problems getting a ws container running in geronimo
enough to figure out if juddi was actually functional in this
environment. Would the project be interested in a patch for this
assuming I can get it to work?

many thanks
