If there is a country where people don¡¯t read Ernst Juenger, or even don¡¯t know him, that must be China. This is almost the truth. In 1995, a greeting could be found in a widely issued Chinese journal Reading(¶ÁÊé)£¬but it seemed that the author was interested in Juenger just because he lived 100 years old. Two years later, Anthology: Selected Essays From Thirty Years of The New York Review of Books was translated into Chinese and published in China, which included a Bruce Chatwin article about Juenger¡¯s Paris Diary, and a brief introduction of his Storm of Steel and On the Marble Cliffs was also involved in. I scanned this article and posted it on the web so that more people could read it and know Ernst Juenger. Except these, some scholars mentioned Juenger when they talked about Heidegger and Carl Schmitt. This means there is no Juenger¡¯s work is available in China¡ªneither Chinese nor English (I can read English ,though I don¡¯t white well. If my English troubles you, I¡¯m sorry, but I think I can make myself understood at least.:- ). So I send this mail to all of you for your help. Does anyone here can afford me the e-text(.txt, .pdf,.doc) of Juenger¡¯s work via Email? I want his Storm of Steel, On the Marble Cliffs, and The Worker, Paris Diary most.
