Dear List members, I would like to pass on the following press release sent out by the Associazione Eumeswil yesterday on the event of Ernst Jünger's death.
Press Release It is with profound sorrow that the Associazione Eumeswil, dedicated since 1989 to the study and diffusion of Ernst Jünger's writings, received the news of his death. With his departure, we have lost one of the greatest luminaries of 20th century culture. We will remember the man who lived Life with deep commitment and great moral and spiritual elevation. By his works and by his words, he has helped us to love, observe and learn from life. Our commitment to promote the study and diffusion of his artistic and spiritual legacy is today redoubled. The Associazione will be commemorating Ernst Jünger on the 20th of February at 21:45 at Gran Caffè Letterario Le Giubbe Rosse, Piazza della Repubblica, Firenze. Franco Volpi, professor of Philosophy, and Antonio Gnoli, journalist at La Repubblica will be joining us. Sig. Gnoli has recently published "I Prossimi Titani - conversazioni con Ernst Jünger." We hope all fellow admirers of the late Ernst Jünger will join us, if not in person then in spirit. If there are any Italian list members near Firenze, please do join the celebrations of this life on the20th in Florence.
