JOB DESCRIPTION: =============== Sakonnet is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to lead the Server, Infrastructure, and Optimization development team. This individual will be responsible for leading infrastructure development projects, including requirements, architecture & design, development and rollout. Additional responsibility includes system performance analysis and troubleshooting, and ownership of the environment configurations. This individual will work closely with other development leads, quality assurance, support and program management. This position is expected to be 50% management and 50% hands-on. EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: ================ The Engineering Team Lead must have a passion for systems development, related technologies, and methodologies. Experience leading the delivery of complex development projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment is a must. Experience analyzing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex distributed systems is preferred. Mastery of J2EE is essential. Experience with OpenSource software including JBoss, MySql, Hibernate, Spring, and Maven is preferred. Some background in Windows/Unix/Linux system administration is helpful. A passion for systems architecture, software frameworks, and development methodologies is a must.
