JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sakonnet is seeking Systems Engineers who are highly motivated
individuals with a strong background in J2EE development and
performance/optimization analysis. Responsibilities include design,
development and support of software programs and analysis,
optimization of the complete Xenon�application.
EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
================
The Engineer must possess a high degree of facility with advanced
computer applications and environments. Knowledge of J2EE (JMS, EJB,
JNDI, JDBC, JTA) is essential. Object-oriented Java programming
experience is essential. Experience with Open Source software
including JBoss, Hibernate, MySql, and Spring is preferred. Facility
with Unix utilities such as sed/awk/grep/bash and knowledge of Python
is preferred. Experience with Windows/Unix/Linux system administration
is a plus. Having excellent problem solving/analytical skills such as
the ability to investigate and fix technical issues quickly (e.g.,
troubleshooting, analyzing log files, fixing bugs) is essential and
outstanding oral and written communication skills are a necessity. A
passion for learning new technologies is a must.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong understanding of OOD/OOP and Java/J2EE
- Experience with a wide range of technologies
