JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sakonnet Technology is seeking a highly motivated individual with a
strong background in quality assurance testing; specific experience
with trading systems, most notably energy trading, is a plus but not
required.
Responsibilities include working closely with Sakonnet's development
team in preparing test environments, producing detailed test scripts
and estimating the business applications' functional and system
specifications, researching complex problems in order to reveal their
source, recreate the problem and make recommendations, providing
status reports as well as coordination of end-to-end testing with
remote systems and management and collaborating with development team
to resolve issues and enhance application.
EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
================
- Experience with quality assurance testing is essential - preferred
experiences include technical support of financial systems
- Two or more years of client server application and web application
testing experience preferred
- Experience in test planning and defining test metrics is essential,
with automated testing tool experience a plus
- Familiarity with QuickTest Pro, WinRunner and/or LoadRunner a plus
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming a plus
- Must be highly versatile with good communication skills
- Must be motivated and possess strong analytical problem solving and
troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with financial and/or commodities markets
- At times, must be able to work under tight deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in equivalent roles
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong analytical skills
