Just wanted to pass along some info from the top 25 JUG program coordinators.
---- "If you want to let the group know that they can register their Sun Developer Network (previously JDC) userids on the JUG Bulletin Board (purely for the purpose of advertising the size/activity level of this Top25 JUG), they can do so by going to: http://servlet.java.sun.com/jugs/north_america/usa/North_Carolina/research_trian gle_park/10457.jsp and clicking on the link: Become a member of this JUG " ---- Note: Doing this, obviously does not register you w/ the TriJUG so there is potential for confusion. The original purpose of this was to have a mechanism to help less organized JUGs (in terms of having a web site, mailing list, formal registration procedures, etc). The idea was to have a central place to collect names which would then be forwarded to the respective JUG owners. The other thing is that there have been 2 JUG administrative threads that the JUG program folks have had with various TriJUG members but haven't gotten any reply possibly because it might have appeared as SPAM or someone thought someone else might be handling it. A possible suggestion might be that the TriJUG board alias be surfaced as the administrative contact instead of an individual who's email might change. The first thread was related to the JUG listing (there were duplicates and they wanted explicit permission to consolidate) and the 2nd thread was a request to get a real US mail address for purposes of mailing something as a result of being selected as a top 25 JUG (my guess is that might have been a plaque/small token of recognition or perhaps JUG give-a-ways). --maureen _______________________________________________ Juglist mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://trijug.org/mailman/listinfo/juglist_trijug.org
