The October meeting is next Monday, October 20, and is entitled "Overview of the Java 
Management Extensions (JMX) and JMX Remote API".  Meetings always fall on the 3rd 
Monday of every month.

We're transitioning board members and positions, so there's been a delay in updating 
the web site.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  Here's information about the talk:

Abstract

Overview of the Java Management Extensions (JMX) and
JMX Remote API. JMX is a standard primarily for
managing Java applications but also can be used to
control any manageable device or application. It has
become the standard for managing J2EE application
servers.

This presentation will cover the JMX architecture,
JMX Remote API, J2EE Management using JMX, JMX
vendor implementations and future directions.

Bio

David Moran has been technical lead for AT&T for over
10 years developing and integrating network
application management systems. He is currently
working on a project developing web based management
application using JMX, JSP's and Servlets.

David has a bachelor's degree from Clemson University
and a master's degree from Rutgers University.
