I hacked the latest 9 to run under OS X.  It works quite nicely.  I don't
like it overall as much as eclipse and I find some features lacking in the
free version (but would not pay for them when I can get them for free).
However, for GUIs there is nothing better.  Ironically JBoss 9 is a pure
java Swing app yet is quite snappy.  I'd say its snappier overall than
Eclipse.  It also seems to lack the memory leaks and deadlocks that the
older versions suffered from (I used JB from 1-4 or 5 then switched to
Netbeans for a short while and then Eclipse).
