*eBay on WebSphere: A Real-World Case Study & JSF(JavaServer Faces) from an API perspective* presented by Greg Ackerman *Monday, December 15, 2003* *6:30 PM - 9:00 PM* *MCNC Auditorium* 3021 Cornwallis Road Research Triangle Park, North Carolina Abstract: Greg Ackerman will present a real-world case study about WebSphere at eBay. He will discuss how eBay decided to use IBM WebSphere to run its highly-visible auction site and some of the available implementation details. He will also present an introduction to the new Java Server Faces specification from an API perspective, and also show a demonstration of the JSF beta features in WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.1.1 which was just released. About the Speaker: Greg is a senior IT Specialist with IBM, who works with customers throughout the Southeast in architecting WebSphere solutions. His product specialties are WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Studio, and WebSphere Portal. He is also the vice-president of the RTP WebSphere Users Group, which meets on the last Tuesday of the month (next meeting in January).
