The Java Software Development Workshop has had a successful kick off. If you would like to join in, we will be meeting again on Monday. This is an opportunity to participate in a Java learning experience, no matter what level you are at. Beginners to experts, all can find a niche in which to learn something new. For more information, visit <http://www.federal-systems.com/scrubs/discus/discus.cgi?8/472>.
Maybe the kick off was too successful. This is a rather large project, with more team members than would normally be on a single team in the real world. Arrrgh! We are going to need organizational structure! This creates an opportunity for people who would like to sharpen their Team and Project Leadership skills. Please join the Workshop if you are interested in this opportunity. Eeek! A bunch of Software Developers, all simultaneously developing various software components, all pointing fingers at each other when it won't integrate. How will we ensure a quality learning experience as opposed to a frustrating negotiating exercise in practicing skills at passing the bug? This is an opportunity for professionals interested in developing their Quality Assurance skills. Hey! If we are successful, not only will this be a learning experience, but we may have a product to sell. Oh, oh. That would lead to Marketing and Sales. Would anyone be interested in taking a look at what we are doing to see if it would be marketable? Maybe a little market analysis would help guide us from an interesting exercise to a marketable product. Come join us if you would like to practice your marketing skills. Oh no! If this doesn't stop, we are going to need HR professionals! Wait. I think I have gone too far :^/ Would you like to join in the fun? Come join us on Monday.
