To the Triangle Java Users Group members,

At this evening's meeting, several of you asked me for the link to the new RTP Rational Users Group web site. Well we are still in start up mode and will get around to having a web site soon enough. The page at the main Rational User Group web site (http://www.rational-ug.org/groups.php?groupid=46) serves as the web page for the present time.

Thanks to the efforts of Don Brady (TriJUG/TriWUG) we have a mailman list. I am copying the message I sent out to the RTP-RUG mailing list last week.

We plan on focusing on design/analysis processes in addition to vendor specific tools. To this end we will be collaborating with as many groups in the triangle that are focussing on these areas.

Feel free to subscibe if you are intersted. Details below.

Thanks
Conrad D'cruz
President RTP_RUG

PS: If you have already subscribed to the RTP-RUG using the
main page (before last week) ... we have moved the list over
and there is no need to resubscribe.

Dear RTP-RUG members,

Thanks to the efforts of Don Brady we now have a mailing list outside
the rational site. Thomas Roche and myself will be administering the
list for now.

The mailman mailing list is more flexible (allows attachments) and
the best part is we can use it to have discussions and share ideas.

Even better is the fact that you can self-administer your subscription!!

Everyone who was subsribed on the group's main page have been
automatically subscribed to this list. If you have changed your
mind since the time you signed up you can make the necessary
modifications at ....

http://www.rtpwug.org/mailman/listinfo/rtprug

Feel free to forward this message to anyone interested in
being a member of the RTP-RUG.

Next steps: Decide on a domain name ... and a web site.
We are also analyzing if we need a formal corporate structure for
the RTP-RUG (non profit professional org status).

Conrad D'Cruz
