1. Does JBOSS 3.2.x support J2EE 1.3 fully?
I believe that it does, however I do not believe JBoss is presently certified by Sun as being compliant. That may have changed, but the last I heard they still had not gone through the certification / testing process. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong there.
2. Is it easy to configure additional load balancing servers?
I've never tried that, so no comment from me.
3. Good Usenet group support?
They have an active community of people providing support, from what I've seen. Go to www.jboss.org, and hit the "forums" link. The only other comment I have on that is to say that some of the JBoss folks have, IMHO, somewhat snotty attitudes. Expect to see a lot of the whole "RTFM" attitude directed at people asking newbie'ish questions.
4. Does it provides application monitoring tool?
There are some tools, like the JMX Console and Web Console tools, but I'm not particularly familiar with either.
5. How efficient is database connection pooling?
No clue here.
6. Required CPU and RAM?
I expect it would depend heavily on your expected load, as well as your application code. I have no clue on how to calculate either of those things, but if you find out let me know.. that's an issue we've been talking about a bit here as well... how to determine CPU and RAM requirements...

Thank God we have the 2nd Amendment to tell our elected representatives that enough is enough.
It's time to put "... from my cold, dead hands" back where it belongs.
