Right
now only 6 people are running for the 7 spots on the board, so we are still
looking for volunteers! Please email me if you would like to get on the
ballot for next week's election.
-----Original Message-----People, the vote is rarely contested so if you’re thinking “if not enough folks come forward I will” (which is what I thought back in the day) then I can just about promise you....not enough folks have come forward....so why don’t you!

Subject: [Juglist] TriJUG Board Election
We will be having elections for the TriJUG board at next month's meeting. If you are interested in running for a spot on the board, please send me an email with your name and I will add you to the ballot. Three of the current board members will not be running again, so we are looking for help! Serving on the board is a great way to meet people in the local Java community & help drive the direction of the TriJUG. (Plus, you get a free dinner at the beginning and end of the term.)
The election process is very simple - everyone who is running for the board will stand up at the September 20th meeting and introduce themselves, then TriJUG members will mark their vote on a paper ballot. At the end of the meeting, the votes will be tallied and the winners announced.
If you are interested in running, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I will put your name on the ballot.
Thanks,
Adam
