Hello Taggers: Tri-XML is the Research Triangle Park area XML users group. Our website is http://www.trixml.org . Our APRIL Tri-XML monthly meeting is coming up soon. Here are the details:
SPEAKER: Mitch Amiano, Agile Markup Corporation TOPIC: Scripting XML With Java and Python TOPIC DESCRIPTION: A plethora of open source Java tools and their class libraries exist for XML, but what if you need to extend the functionality and customize if for specific applications? One option is to code up additional Java classes, but not everyone is into Java development. It would be great to get access to the power of the Java classes, but work with scripts instead. You can do this with an alternative JVM language such as Jython. The presentation will show how you can glue together a desktop XML application from existing Java components using Jython as the glue. DATE: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 TIME: 6:00pm - 8:00pm (includes time for eating and networking) Please RSVP directly to me if you plan to attend. A lite dinner is provided to attendees, so we need to know if you are coming. Thank you, Kay CC: TriJUG & STC Carolina -------------------------------------- Kay Ethier Tri-XML PO Box 14265 Research Triangle Park NC 27709-4265 PHONE: 919.244.8559 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -------------------------------------- * Tri-XML 2005 Conference is scheduled for July 28-30 at NC State University's McKimmon Center.
