I am doing a survey and I hope it is not miuse of this forum.
Scenario:
My neighborhood bingo club had a single desktop machine (no idea what it is for).
But they recently got high-speed internet and a wireless enabled laptop.
They are looking for bids for someone to come in, install any additional components, rearrange the desktop machine to make space for the laptop user, and do the setup so the machines are sharing the internet connection, and can see each other and print to a common printer.
I'm thinking 4 hours and a Wireless Access Point with a hub. But I have no idea what industry rate per hour is for such IT / Help desk work, to know whether the bids are too high (or too low).
Does anyone know or have any idea what the going hourly rate for IT / Help desk services are?
