No.  You can deprecate a flag.  We'd rather you didn't, because our
scripts use the most compatible commandlines, and deprecated flags are
typically more compatible than their substitutes.

But you can't remove a flag.  That would be "Doing It Wrong".  "Thou
Shalt Not Break Compatibility With 1.18".
