Last week in Raleigh, NC was the All Things Open conference ( http://allthingsopen.org/). I had some great conversations about Juju. Was able to do a couple hallway demos of Juju and they were very well received.
The two things that kept coming up most as I spoke to people about Juju: 1) That's really cool, I had never heard of it before. 2) How do I get Juju to orchestrate my existing deployment? These were far and away the most common responses to Juju during the three days of the conference. By the end of day three I had some people seeking me out asking questions and wanting me to redo the demo on my laptop for others that they knew. I also spoke to a guy who is using Ubuntu server to solve some problems in the small business space. He is using LXC and virt-manager over VPN to manager servers located at SOHO sites. We worked toward him building a virtual MAAS and orchestrating it with Juju. All in all Juju was well received. There was a lot of interest for it. I am hoping to give a talk at the local Raleigh DevOps group later in the year and it was suggested that I submit a Juju talk for the Great Wide Open (I did) which is the sister conference for All Things Open.
