I finally got around to doing a write-up over the work the new-workloads team did back in January to get some docker enablement moving with Juju (completely discounting the work we're doing with Kubernetes at present - that post is forthcoming) I tried to break down the approach we took, give a good introduction to what exists today, and where we might take this in the future. This is your prompt to get involved and make your voice heard about the future of this charm stack. This is not limited to just Juju deploying docker however. Whit and Matt have been working on JujuBox - a docker container aimed at isolating Juju into a fast booting, isolated test bed that can be consumed / re-used cross distro for low-fuss installation and consumption of Juju (without the local provider at present) Feel free to give it a read and leave any comments you might have about the future here on the list. We're excited to keep pushing this effort forward and seeing new forms of enablement of this emerging ecosystem of tooling. http://blog.dasroot.net/2015-charming-with-docker.html - -- Charles Butler <[email protected]> Juju Charmer - http://jujucharms.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJVAB8eAAoJENooWinqgzR6kL8IAJuyo3M+SRzcsyofXXLy3rUC j1MaRhcFu3gdAgHwlAgDXmOxMhEXz1oA8Jn8P2w11U/uK+EFJuqtwOtcfmZ4xBwa U4wmDaG3qHOA4tB88o5bUGNA3WbKJjR+9io8Gm7JybY+RivoQpiqmgnyNhaPlf4v ExqqATTWzrYY4nI1X29qtfFej/BTuWfj8kTy4maQodqS4Z9XNHN0o0OiY4JBqsyi 3cZA6ex3I02+woGLT090xtLwgymf2vZfPTduww6qdAP4IwWEgm+va+N0FOJhF+Xn K4E1JdsSdtoE9RLLbffRK3whF9TahUE0Bw+d09PjvbD69g+AiIKAbQI1T0kBqO0= =+SKH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Juju mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/juju
