Yes, describing the ceph storage via config is a workaround, and the
current development in MAAS and Juju around storage will simplify this
greatly. Juju storage is based on "storage pools", and in MAAS that maps
to tags on the disks. In a few months time, you will be able to feed a
disk to ceph just by tagging it in MAAS, which will mean you can add
disks dynamically and also pick specific disks on each machine. That
work looks nicely on track for 15.10.
