A new release of Juju GUI 2.1.8 is available for beta 11 adopters. With
the release of Juju 2 beta 11, the APIs changed require an update to the
Juju GUI, earlier versions of GUI are not compatible with the beta11
release.

GUI 2.1.8 is not in the simplestreams for Juju 2 yet, so to use it you’ll
need to grab the tarball and use ‘juju upgrade-gui’.

Here are the details:

Bootstrap on a cloud of your choice:
% juju bootstrap lxd lxd

Download the tarball
% wget
https://github.com/juju/juju-gui/releases/download/2.1.8/jujugui-2.1.8.tar.bz2

Upgrade gui:
% juju upgrade-gui /path/to/jujugui-2.1.8.tar.bz2

Enjoy the new and updated GUI in beta11
% juju gui --show-credentials

Expect the update of the official Juju GUI charm in the following days, as
we want to provide the updates and improvements in the new GUI 2.1.8
release to the Juju 1.2x clients.

Please exercise it and provide feedback if you discover any bugs. Issues
can be filed at:

https://github.com/juju/juju-gui/issues

Thanks,
Juju UI Engineering
