Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce Sense, a multi-language cloud platform for data
analysis. We have a five minute demo video at https://senseplatform.com,
please check it out and sign up for our beta if it looks interesting.

Although Sense doesn't have Julia support built in, I'm hoping it will be
of interest to the Julia community because we designed it to be extended to
new languages and tools, and to treat them as first-class citizens
alongside IPython, R and JavaScript.

A Julia "engine", meaning a JavaScript package conforming to the API
documented at https://github.com/SensePlatform/sense-engine, would
immediately grant Julia a cloud infrastructure with a pleasing
browser-based interface, rich visualizations, easy provisioning and
dismissing of worker machines for hpc and big data, fast access to Amazon
web services, collaboration and social features, and more.

We actually wrote the very stub of a Julia engine to include in our demo
video, https://github.com/SensePlatform/sense-julia-engine-stub. If anyone
would be interested in working together to develop a full implementation,
please get in touch!

Anand
