Hi

I am trying to build Julia from git on Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon)

But I get an error at the end of the make

The content of base/version_git.jl is:

It looks like it is missing a couple of values in the arguments, 
build_number and fork_master_distance. I would guess this relates to the 
two failed git commands.
