You'll find that, as with the warnings you pasted here, these almost always come from Julia's dependencies. The ones you posted were from OpenBLAS, which I think is the noisiest of the bunch. Julia itself is not compiled until the very end of the build process--that goes fairly quickly, and more time is spent building and precompiling the system image (which cannot be sped up with -j N) than actually compiling and linking its C sources. The good news is you'll find that updating an existing Julia build tends to go much faster than the initial build.
