Just installed Julia 0.3 from git, all compiled ok. Then I did:
julia> Pkg.add("Winston")
INFO: Cloning cache of BinDeps from
git://github.com/JuliaLang/BinDeps.jl.git
....
INFO: Installing Winston v0.11.0
INFO: Building Cairo
INFO: Building Tk
Now it asked to install TK, I said OK:
Installing dependency tk8.6 via `sudo apt-get install tk8.6`:
[sudo] password for me:

Suggested packages:
tcl8.6
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libtcl8.6 libtk8.6 tk8.6
0 upgraded, 3 newly installed, 0 to remove and 263 not upgraded.
.....
Get:1 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main libtcl8.6 i386
8.6.1-4ubuntu1 [827 kB]
Get:2 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main libtk8.6 i386
8.6.1-3ubuntu2 [670 kB]
Get:3 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main tk8.6 i386
8.6.1-3ubuntu2 [12.1 kB]
.....
Now when I try again, I get this error
julia> using Winston
ERROR: TclError("error initializing Tk: version conflict for package
\"Tcl\": have 8.5.15, need 8.6")
in init at /home/me/.julia/v0.3/Tk/src/tkwidget.jl:61
in include at ./boot.jl:244
What should I do now to correct this?
I am using Linux mint 17, 3.13.0-24-generic
Julia Version 0.3.0-prerelease+3987 (2014-06-30 23:12 UTC)
Thanks,
