The flickering reflects the framerate, so congratulations to all of the people which got intense, unbearable flickering! =) I run Ubuntu and Windows on my laptop, and on windows the flickering is at least two times as fast. Sad though, that Apple is on the Linux side in this regard. I hope that this is not true for all graphic cards. It's ironic, that windows seems to be the only platform, which consistantly gets the graphic drivers right, but Julia is still in a rather crippled state there...
@J Luis Now, that you describe this, I think I went through the same errors, and resolved them with good ol' brute force. Reinstalling completely everything until it worked :D So the evidence is getting thicker for at least two errors inherent to the package manager. rm just works sporadically and packages are only found, if Julia is in the right mood... Maybe it's time to actually open an issue about Julia misbehaving on windows. But most of the time, I couldn't reproduce them in the next second, so I never actually went through with reporting them. could not spawn `cp -R builds/glfw-3.0.4.bin.WIN64/lib-mingw usr/lib`: no such file or directory (ENOENT) This might as well be a Julia/Windows error. I suppose Julia isn't feeding the windows copy command correctly. The copy command on windows is an order of magnitude more picky than cp for some reasons.. But on the other hand, this is working perfectly fine for me right now. Do you have spaces in your absolute path?
