[julia-users] what is the required minimum version of git to work with Pkg manager?

Hi,

i'm working on several systems with somewhat outdated git versions. I often 
end up looking at this error:

*julia> **Pkg.checkout("MOpt","noPyPlot")*

error: unknown switch `B'

which I guess originates from the fact that this is 

git version 1.7.2.5

or is that not the case?

Could it be pointed out somewhere what the minimal required version is?
