This is a DNS issue. I was just on the phone with 1&1 <http://www.1and1.com/> which is the domain registrar I use and which provides DNS service for julialang.org. They're having some name server issue and the name servers that are responsible for julialang.org aren't responding to DNS requests and are not pingable. Of course, the support guy started trying to up-sell me on hosting when I finally got through and explained the issue. This resulted in some ire on my part. Between this issue and the fact that 1&1 has been actively pessimizing their admin site's usability over time (it used to be clunky but fine), I'm considering changing to another registrar. I could also get a separate DNS service, of course, which might be an easier way to better reliability.
