I have mostly been using the standard Julia mode until now, but I am
thinking of switching to ESS-mode. This has some obvious advantages, but I
cannot insert unicode symbols from latex anymore. I thought I'd notice
other things, but nothing else so far that really bugged me.
* Has anybody found other advantages of the standard Julia mode over the
ESS mode?
* There is a discussion at

to merge the two modes: is this actually done now? (Probably not entirely -
cf Latex completion)
* On a related topic: help-text works fine using C-c C-d C-d, but not
during auto-complete? See issue at

Does anybody know a work-around?
