I think that you are ignoring the fact that, in contrast to C, Julia has 1. namespaces (modules), and 2. multiple dispatch. Both of these are powerful, and there is a synergy between the two. Imposing some kind of over-arching consistency, as if everything was loaded into a single namespace, is neither necessary nor realistic. Best, Tamas
