It helps you run Windows software on Linux (and Mac OS X I think). It can't handle all software. I think it should handle Julia (didn't check). Then if should work for this. If you have say C code with your Julia code, I wouldn't be sure. Still, in many cases that code would not API dependent and would work and maybe also even if not.
