It had been languishing for about 8-9 days, after I had addressed all the issues from previous comments... Now that today I have been getting some feedback, I am working to address all of those comments, so that it could be merged. I wanted to get an idea if other people also considered these performance issues important or critical for what they are trying to do in Julia...
