Dear all, I have just finished giving a 2-day Julia workshop in Paris for scientists who already had some knowledge on scientific computing. The materials (Jupyter notebooks) are available at
https://github.com/dpsanders/hands_on_julia/ This is somewhat different from most previous materials, since I have tried to make it more "hands-on", in the sense that it asks the user to try things out and guess the syntax, rather than just giving the answer straight away. This can be more frustrating, but also more educational! Please let me know if you find this useful; pull requests with corrections etc. are, of course, more than welcome! David.
