Hi Roger,

Welcome to the group! I am still a Julia freshman too (but old in human
years!) and former computational physicist (PhD from UIUC and two years at
MIT/LL before moving to Wall Street in 2005). My financial technology
startup in Hong Kong now has several junior quants/interns learning Julia
and we're sponsoring a Julia project with UCLA's Master in Financial
Engineering program (with a team of students from China), where I am on the
Advisory Board. We are considering organizing some Julia training/events in
Hong Kong. It may be a bit far for you, but good to keep in touch
nonetheless. I am also interested in learning about Julians in Hong
Kong/China/Singapore.

Best wishes and good luck with studies.

PS: On a general note, we don't have any specific job descriptions at the
moment, but we're always on the look out for smart people to bring on board
so anyone feel free to reach out to me
<https://hk.linkedin.com/in/ericforgy> if you're interested in Hong Kong
careers working with Julia.
