IJulia does have precompile. I tried running the same code with Julia 0.4.3 (found here: https://julialang.s3.amazonaws.com/bin/linux/x64/0.4/julia-0.4.3-linux-x86_64.tar.gz)
And doing a *Pkg.checkout("BinDeps"), *but the same error remains.
I'll try to reproduce it on a different machine tomorrow to see if I'm
missing something simple...
