Hi Sunburned, I had some troubles reading that much mails in the last days, so it took me a while to catch up...
I'm not too deep into GPL stuff and since all our stuff is free anyway, I don't care much. I really think it would be a great thing to have someone, who offers OJ related services and therefor can be hired by users to help them with their installation, usage and what ever problems with the free version of OJ! We (PIROL) deal with people from universities and farmers. Most of them are GIS users and some are even GIS beginners. All of them are glad to have a free GIS that can do a lot of the things they need. BUT many of them have problems with or question regarding OJ - that can of course be solved/answered easily, but we at PIROL just don't have the manpower help all of them. I am sure they would be willing to pay for help and I would be glad to have someone to direct them to (even if Germany would require email or phone support, I guess)! So, speaking for PIROL: Go Sunburned! (Of course, OJ has to stay free software, but I'd say the GPL (as far as I know it) prevents any changes to this and you, Sunburned, do not appear to me like you would ever try to take over OJ. I am personally trusting you on this one!
