You can delete the CVS files after downloading.
If you want to keep the working copies "working"
copy them to another directory first.
With TortoiseCVS (I don't know how to do that with
other CVS clients but it is surely possible),
right-click on the directory you want ot remove CVS files from
(do it on the root directory of the module, it's recursive).
>From the context-menu choose:
"CVS > Release..."
You should now see a small dialog with a combo box.
Select the last option:
"Delete CVS control file only (-e)"
This should be it!!!
