The migration to SVN from CVS wasn't as easy as I thought it was going
to be. I didn't realize that SourceForge had discontinued support for
the "one click" repository conversion.

I did get some of OpenJUMP's CVS into the JPP Subversion repository.
Let me explain my process so that if something is missing you'll know
why.

[1] I downloaded the "src" folder from the OpenJUMP CVS repository
using TortoiseCVS. (I did not download the different plug-in folders.)

[2] I created a new project in Eclipse and imported only the .java,
.properties, .txt, .htm, and .html files from the "src" folder.

[3] I then exported all of these files and the folder structure from
the new Eclipse project to my file system.

[4] I added all of the image files in the
com.vividsolutions.jump.workbench.ui.images package to the correct
subfolder fo "src".

[5] I created a new directory called "openjump" and added the other
folders that were siblings of the "src" folder in the OpenJUMP CVS
Repository. (The "scripts" folder, the "installers" folder,...)

[6] I made a new Eclipse project and imported the folders and files
created in Step 3 through Step 5.

[7] I commited the folders and files from the Eclipse project created
in Step 6 to the JPP Subversion Repository.

This means the JPP Subversion Repository does not currently contain
the plug-in folders. (I figure we can have the maintainers of these
folders move commit them when I get the source code from the core
properly set up.) I am currently moving everything I committed into a
top-level folder called "openjump", just as we did in the OpenJUMP CVS
Repository. I'd like to create one more top-level folder called
plug-ins where we can put the plug-in folders when we are ready.

After I have completed this I will work on getting all of our
developers access and on creating an "stable" branch. I have stopped
work on my pluggable renderers to get this done, so I might have the
trunk of the JPP Subversion Repository ready for developer commits by
Monday. No promises though! :]

Remember that as soon as we move development to the SVN Repository at
the JPP we will no longer be capturing improvements in our nightly
build. At this point we should talk to Jon about discontinuing the
nightly build and work on setting up a new one. In the transition I
can try to make a weekly build available.
