Can you wait until this weekend? I will try it on my Debian box at
that time. It sounds like I need to add some of the modifications you
made to the script that I am using in my temporary Linux distribution
of OpenJUMP.

I think you are a more advanced Bash user than I, so I'll have to use
my Bash books to figure out what you are doing. :]
