Hi Stefan,
I have been abroad for working 10 days so I answer
late your letter, even if Erwan already define the
SIGLE project:
Cut polygon by SIGLE (Erwan's) provides an easy way to
cut a polygon, using a sort of "negative" polygon
tool.
This works fine if people need to create many
"islands" inside a big polygon area
A couple of examples:
1) I have to define a lava field with many vulcanic
small cones
2) I have to define inside an omogeneous forest of oak
trees small population of other plant varieties
Using Erwan's plugin would be much more easy.
Of coarse, Th OJ embedded cut polygon is useful in
other situation, like dividing a large area.
