I would like to start working on the list of items that need to be completed for the next official release of OpenJUMP. Before I do so, I would like to ask the developers that have a few minutes to look over the list of items that needs to be completed here:
http://openjump.org/wiki/show/Todo+before+shipping+next+release I skimmed over the list this morning, and it seems like we may have addressed some of the items on this list already. If you guys could take a look and let me know if you've completed some of the tasks I will update the list. After this is done I will probably have a few questions as I start working on items from the list. I hope to start this work on the next release in about two (2) weeks. (This should give me time to release the internationalized super select plug-in.) I may be asking for a short freeze of the SVN in the first part of March. (Or maybe we can create a new branch for this release so other developers don't have to halt contributions?) I'd also like to ask if someone has an idea of what are top 3 most critical and/or annoying bugs are. I'd like to work on those in March as well. Have we established a criteria for how much needs to be done to merit an official release? I will of course, defer to Stefan on all of these items, since he has been responsible for most of our release work. I know that he is in the middle of a move to Canada and probably doesn't have a lot of time to check the forum, so I e-mailed him directly. Thanks for all the help. I hope my modest efforts can put together a new release of OpenJUMP for mid-spring of this year.
