It looks like OSGeo will participate in the Google Summer of Code
again. I would be willing to mentor a student that wanted to work on
OpenJUMP, JTS, or Java code that could be used in OpenJUMP if there
was an interest.

There is a 4,500 US Dollar stipend available for participating
students. My $500 mentoring stipend  would be donated to the OSGeo.

The student picks a programming project in there area of interest. I
would prefer something fairly simple. :]

Let me know if you have student that is interested. If we can't round
up an OpenJUMP student I may offer to mentor for GeoTools or Deegree
on code that may be useful in OpenJUMP at some point in the future.
