Even Larry's Skyjump cut/paste (BTW It was me that selected Larry 's proposal for icons - excuding cut/paste - some month ago! I changed my opinion).

Personally I am sceptical to a big restyling of icons only for a pratical reason: I use (and invite to use) OpenJUMP and Kosmo together: these softwares share the same icons which helps to switch between the softwares easly, expecially newbies. On this side I also image people who use OJ and SkyJUMP would have the same problems (question to Larry: are there people who use OJ and SkyJUMP). One idea I have is: saving "visible" compatibility between Jump derived software and not chasnging "critical" icons (which basically are all the ones in the toolbar). >From another point of view new FamFamFam icons seem much Gnome-oriented than >WinXP and this probabily would help people who work with Linux to use OJ. It would be interesting if OpenJUMP, Skyjump and Kosmo will work together to define a new set of icons for next realises (OJ 1.3, Kosmo 2.0) which probabily happen on 2009 Regards Peppe --- Mer 15/10/08, Stefan Steiniger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ha scritto: > Da: Stefan Steiniger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Oggetto: Re: [JPP-Devel] new toolbar icons > A: "OpenJump develop and use" <jump-pilot-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> > Data: Mercoledì 15 ottobre 2008, 22:37 > oh.. what actually comes to my mind. gvSIG mobile had also > some nice > icons that look like derived from FamFamFam... maybe we > have a look at > those :) > > see the ones in the top bar (not the ones in the side bar) > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gN1AMYr7NgI > > stefan > > Larry Becker wrote: > > SkyJUMP has icons for most cut and paste items. > > > > On Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 3:14 PM, Stefan Steiniger > <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: > > > > Hei > > > > Giuseppe Aruta wrote: > > > Hi Stefan, > > > > > > > > > Now openjump-core-1.2-20081015 works fine > with jre 1.6.10 > > ok.. good to know > > > > > The new icons are nice but they seem a > little smaller than the > > original.
