This should help to understand the relations between the classes
Coordinate, Geometry, Feature, FeatureCollection, FeatureSchema, Layer
and LayerManager.
Related classes are grouped into packages.
There is also a helper method to create a FeatureCollection
using a list of geometries.

To create linestring from its coordinates, use JTS's :
*com.vividsolutions.jts.geom.GeometryFactory*.createLineString(...)
or, if you already have its WKT string :
*com.vividsolutions.jts.io.WKTReader*.read("wkt string")

Remark 1 : you may have to handle the case where you have
several features with same value
Remark 2 : if you have many such request, you may have to
build an index (a TreeMap) mapping all distinct attribute
values to features.
