It looks like the OSGeo is still putting OpenJUMP on the OSGeo Live
DVD this year. I'm going to try to tackle the tasks Cameron lists in
the e-mail below this week. If you are interested in helping, take a
look at the task list and let me know what you can do. If I don't hear
from anyone I'll be starting at the top of the list. :]

By the way, we had some really positive comments about OpenJUMP on the
OSGeo discussion mailing list today. The program was commended as a
great example of an easy-to-use front end GIS, on par with QGIS.

My thanks go to all the hard work volunteers in our community have put
into the program. It was great to here some recognition and
commendation of those efforts from our peers in the OSGeo community
today.

Hi Landon,

Yes, we still hope to have OpenJUMP on OSGeo-Live. We have a feature
freeze on 31 Jan, so you are not too late. According to our status
spreadsheet 1], we should be expecting it to be upgraded to version
1.4.2. (I assume that is the latest stable release?)

Could you please:
1. Update your install script to ensure it loads the next release.
https://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/bin

2. Update your Overview docs to point to the correct version, and
possibly make some tweaks to the text if your feature list has
changed.
https://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/doc/en
Update the Overview status in the spreadsheet [1] to "4.5draft"

3. Ensure your Quickstart is good to go, and also has screen shots.
(We have some volunteers who may be able to help with screen shots)
https://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/doc/en
Update the Quickstart status in the spreadsheet [1] to "4.5draft"
