I've fixed the problem with the wrong perimeter for a polygon. This was 
caused by the old code in CoordinateListMetrics class. I've added new 
method's with a boolean parameter for computing the right distance. The 
default behavior is the the old. Now you should see the same distance in 
the status bar and on the measurement.
